With unique treasures and vintage collectibles adorning the vibrant hued rooms, it's like a private stay in an Art Deco gallery!
Nestled along a quiet residential street, the recent renovation of this 1800's home has given the home new energy, as an artist's palette of color and creativity. The decor is eclectic, playful and upbeat. With the host's eye for the unusual (and as owner of a vintage decor shop in Austin), guests are likely to find something new and different with every visit.
The large living room is comfortably furnished with deco-inspired overstuffed furniture. The kitchen is functional whimsy; includes a stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and small refrigerator along with small bistro dining table. Organic coffees, teas and their service are provided for guests to prepare at their leisure.
The two queen bedrooms are spacious and airy with comfortable beds using 100% cotton linens. Of the two bathrooms, one has an ultra-modern feel with glass shower, vessel sink and a wall of glass block while the other retains the vintage feel, with the original claw-foot tub. In addition to central heat/air, there are televisions in each bedroom, one with DVD player, the other with DVD/VHS player with a selection of movies for great Get-Away entertainment. A selection of books in the lending library is also available for guests to enjoy.
The large porch across the front and two small side porches invite guests to take in the clean, country air, while enjoying the sights and sounds of small town life. Enjoy the porch swing and the antics of squirrels foraging for the nuts from the large pecan trees!
Rates are $145 plus tax per night for 1-2;
(Single night stays add $10)
$155 plus tax per night for 3-4 guests
Two night minimum on weekends (some exceptions) and holidays.
